Who we are

Our mission is to break through the traditional class room format and give students of all ages an opportunity to discover their creative capabilities in solving complex problems of the evolving world. Whether you are only in primary school or almost finishing high school this is a great chance to discover and express your creativity in a business, enterprising scenario. The problems will vary in scale from small business management problems to large corporations and will be sure to challenge the brightest minds.

Our goal is to create an opportunity for students to be able to practice and apply their creativity, leadership and innovative skills in a real life scenario. Too often are students learning theoretical skills and through this activity, we hope that students will be able to learn and grow while having fun in groups.

Week 1 January 2017

Year 3 to 6

Your name is Frank Pumpkin and the welcoming owner of The Cookie Jar café. You have 23 employees – some casual, others part or full time. One day one of your loyal employees, Bobby Possum accidentally spilled coffee on on one of your customers. The customer is very angry. In the heat of the situation, how do you react? What do you say to the customer and Bobby? What would you tell Bobby after the accident? How would try and make sure that this will not happen again in the future? [placeholder problem]

Year 7 to 11

In many cafes and juice bars such as Boost Juice Companies, wastage is a major issue that is affecting finance and expenses, environmental sustainability and economy. The unpredictability of customers and their demands means that foods and resources are constantly wasted. This can be an enormous expense for companies that order foods on a regular basis. And it affects agriculture as it demands more crops. Many other companies are not so keen on reusing because of reasons like unpredictability of food supply i.e quantity, quality etc. Suggest an elegant solution that might help deal with wastage in small restaurants and businesses.
